Anyway, I met Eed in 1995 during our college days so that means we have been friends for about 12 years now. How time flies! Eed is another friend that has been there for me through laughter and even through tears. We had so much fun together as teenagers, didn't we Eed. Anyway, I will remember all our good times together for as long as I live and I know for sure that we will be friends sampai ke anak cucu! Thanks Eed for being such a wonderful friend. I love you...
And of course, happy birthday to Dr Joal too (May 6) whose presence here at the department, brings nothing but joy and happiness! We have known you for only about half a year now but it seems longer and We love you...
For lunch yesterday, Naz, Kak Jah, myself and the kids went to Bukit Bintang Plaza for Shakey's buffet. The price per person has gone up but the quality of food has gone down. The mashed potatoes were very dry at the top, the gravy was watery and tasteless. The lasagna was dry too and wasn't as good as before. The 3 different types of pasta sauces were just OK but thank goodness the pizzas and fried chickens were quite good. Just put it this way, it will be very long from now before I ever crave to go there again. Hemm...
In the evening after lunch, Naz and I took the kids to Tasik Titiwangsa to play a bit of soccer and for Munira to practise her roller blading. Muzafar wasn't feeling really well as he started coughing and coming down with a flu since Friday. However, that did not stop him from enjoying himself at the park...
Akademi Fantasia 5 - 8th Concert
Yesterday, Dafi finally left for good. Finally. Bukan apa, he has the whole package and all but somehow is just not good enough to be the champion. Mila and Candy as usual did their best, dapat 4 lampu biru tu :). I thought Ebi did OK too, in fact his vocal was a lot better this week but too bad, did not perform good enough to impress Ogy and Hattan. Shawal, fuiyoo..his manly voice has never once dissapointed me, he's simply an all rounder! As for Aswad, I was impressed - for the first time. Never thought that he could/should survive until this week but he did really well yesterday.
Today, Naz wanted to have home cooked lunch so Naz and I went to the Chow Kit Wet Market to buy some meat and vegetables. Could not believe I had to pay about RM4 for the red chillies. Anyway, I really didn't know what to cook but came out with these (refer to the photo). Naz loves colorful rice like Nasi Minyak, Nasi Hujan Panas, Nasi Dagang etc. So I decided to prepare my own version of Nasi Tumis Hujan Panas but without coconut milk or susu cair - too fattening la. As for the dishes to go with the rice, I cookedAyam Masak Merah but with red chillis instead of dried chillies. My first time using fresh chillies but it turned out to be better. Then I tried to make Daging Tumbuk Dendeng which Naz liked very much. Except, next time I should use Kicap Manis rather than Kicap Masin. Then of course, fancy rice should always be served with Acar Timun, baru la cukup syarat...hehe. Sesiapa nak resipi, do email me.
After lunch, we took Muzafar to Pusrawi to get more medicine. Everytime we make a trip to the clinic to check on Muzafar, I get really nervous. Let me share with you why...
You see, before January this year, Muzafar was said to be asthmatic and most of the time, would be put on a nebulizer and he really hated it. He would be screaming and crying and sweating every single time. As a mother, I would feel really horrible to see him in that misery, my poor baby and worst of all, we had to visit the clinic almost as often as the supermarket as many types of food would trigger his allergy. I had many, I mean MANY sleepless nights. He would sleep but he would be wheezing and there was nothing I could do except to make sure that he had taken all his medicine. So one day in January this year, one doctor suggested that we should start him on an inhaler - twice a day. I asked the doctor whether there was going to be any side effect, and he said no. Feeling a bit reluctant, we made an appointment to see a pediatrician. The pediatrician confirmed that Muzafar was asthmatic and confirmed that there isn't any side effect if he uses the inhaler daily, so he presribed one for Muzafar.
Know what, that was one of the most wonderful days of our lives as there was hope that Muzafar would never have to go through the misery of being put on the nebulizer ever again, well at least not as often as before. Syukur Alhamdulillah, thank God, it will be exactly 4 months this Wednesday since Muzafar's last trip to the clinic because of his allergic reaction. When we went just now, the doctor didn't mention anything about his lungs, and that, was silent music to our ears...
Oh by the way, we found this when we came back from work last Thursday. Muzafar's very first wall masterpiece! When we asked him why did he draw on the wall, with a wide smile he happily said that he had drawn Ayah...hehe.
