Selamat Hari Merdeka my fellow Malaysians! I am and will always be proud and happy to be a Malaysian. Even though it is not always a bed of roses living in this country especially when dealing with the government service sector, things have gotten so, so, so much better over the years. There is certainly no better place than Malaysia, our home.
Speaking of pride, am I very glad that I sat and watched the whole finals of the Pesta Bola Merdeka. I had not watched Malaysian football, ok,ok...football in general for such a long time but last Wednesday, something drew me to watch the match. According to Naz, for the first time in many years our Malaysian team did more proud than shame. I have to admit, despite not knowing many things about football/ soccer, I think it was a really a fun game to watch. Of course, the opponents (Myanmar) were so rough and rude towards our players but they were behaving like that because they were under a lot pressure! So bravo Under 23 Malaysian Team. I hope that this victory would not make you too proud but hopefully will make you more dedicated and motivated to play even better in the future. For the sake of Malaysian football and to prove that Malaysia actuallyBoleh!
I would also like to share a bit more information here hehe. The Malaysian goalkeeper, Syed Adney Syed Hussainis is so good looking. So jambuuuuu...Even Naz thinks so too, hehe. Oh by the way, he is actually the brother of Sharifah Sofea, the beautiful actress. So not only he's handsome, he's also talented! He's definitely going to be very popular after this!
It is only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it were the only one we had. - Elizabeth Kubler-Ros
