I started my leave last Wednesday, December 19 (I left the office at about 3pm). Went straight to Mantin where my mom-in-law and Naz's siblings were already preparing for Raya Haji. I felt bad that I couldn't help much but work at the office (actually more like my boss) wouldn't allow me to leave any earlier. Oh well...
Raya Haji was fun with Naz's family. So chaotic, so many children and always full of laughter. So unlike my family since there are not that many of us.
Anyway, I started preparing the hantaran for Jam's engagement (Naz's fifth brother) on Friday. I personally think that my work has improved hehe (opps just being perasan here).
The whole of Naz's family (including us of course), left to Johor Bahru (JB)for the engagement on Saturday in 4 cars. Before reaching JB, we stopped by at Batu Pahat for Nasi Beriani Gam. It was such a long (traffic jam, road work, flood) detour just for Beriani Gam but it was worth every extra cent spent on petrol as it was the best beriani gam I have ever had. Sungguh the sedap!
We reached M Suites Hotel which is located near Danga Bay, about 6pm and everybody was dead exhausted. However never too tired for good foooood! As recommended by Nasir, Naz's 4th brother, we had dinner at this small food stall called SAGA Cafe. It may look old and not so interesting from the outside, but when you're in the cafe itself, you will feel as if you're back in the 70s when P Ramlee was 'D' superstar (actually he is still kan). The owner of the cafe is obviously a great fan of P Ramli and his gang as his cafe is decorated with photos of them (almost every single each of the wall). If we talk about the food that was available at the cafe, everything we ordered was above satisfactory. Especially the tahu bakar. Memang sedap!
So on Sunday (December 23), we were off to Pandan for the meminang + merisik session. Everything went very smoothly and as planned. Alhamdulillah...That night, we dropped by at Danga Bay for the children to have a lil bit of fun.
The next morning on Monday (December 24), we checked out from the hotel at about 12pm and headed to Larkin Lama to see my foster mother whom I have not seen since my wedding. Then after that, we stayed one night at Mantin and then headed over to Kampung Baru. My mom-in-law and Naz's second brother left to Besut yesterday. As for my father-in-law, he wanted to take one of Naz's nephews for a train ride so Naz, the kids and I sent off him off KL Central last night. So that's the end of our family trip this time...
Oh, it's Pat's birthday...Happy Birthday Patty! Emmuahhh...
p/s photos will be up soon.
