Another Just an OK Movie

My mom-in-law left to Mantin on Tuesday (Dec 18) with the kids and so Naz and I had the night to ourselves since we were still working and couldn't go with them. So what did we do Tuesday night? We went to see I am Legend. It was just an OK movie. Nothing to shout about. Will Smith is superb as usual of course. I have always adored his talent. Just that, one of the things that I basically do not like about the movie is the fact that the hero dies after saving the world. I love movies that have an 'Awwwwwwww...' moment at the end and NOT 'what? he's/she's dead?'. Hehe...Anyway, Naz thought that the movie was boring and he almost dozed off.

Family Vacation...(# 5)

Waa...it has been one of the most exhausting holidays in my whole entire life but...I am fully satisfied.

I started my leave last Wednesday, December 19 (I left the office at about 3pm). Went straight to Mantin where my mom-in-law and Naz's siblings were already preparing for Raya Haji. I felt bad that I couldn't help much but work at the office (actually more like my boss) wouldn't allow me to leave any earlier. Oh well...

Raya Haji was fun with Naz's family. So chaotic, so many children and always full of laughter. So unlike my family since there are not that many of us.

Anyway, I started preparing the hantaran for Jam's engagement (Naz's fifth brother) on Friday. I personally think that my work has improved hehe (opps just being perasan here).

The whole of Naz's family (including us of course), left to Johor Bahru (JB)for the engagement on Saturday in 4 cars. Before reaching JB, we stopped by at Batu Pahat for Nasi Beriani Gam. It was such a long (traffic jam, road work, flood) detour just for Beriani Gam but it was worth every extra cent spent on petrol as it was the best beriani gam I have ever had. Sungguh the sedap!

We reached M Suites Hotel which is located near Danga Bay, about 6pm and everybody was dead exhausted. However never too tired for good foooood! As recommended by Nasir, Naz's 4th brother, we had dinner at this small food stall called SAGA Cafe. It may look old and not so interesting from the outside, but when you're in the cafe itself, you will feel as if you're back in the 70s when P Ramlee was 'D' superstar (actually he is still kan). The owner of the cafe is obviously a great fan of P Ramli and his gang as his cafe is decorated with photos of them (almost every single each of the wall). If we talk about the food that was available at the cafe, everything we ordered was above satisfactory. Especially the tahu bakar. Memang sedap!

So on Sunday (December 23), we were off to Pandan for the meminang + merisik session. Everything went very smoothly and as planned. Alhamdulillah...That night, we dropped by at Danga Bay for the children to have a lil bit of fun.

The next morning on Monday (December 24), we checked out from the hotel at about 12pm and headed to Larkin Lama to see my foster mother whom I have not seen since my wedding. Then after that, we stayed one night at Mantin and then headed over to Kampung Baru. My mom-in-law and Naz's second brother left to Besut yesterday. As for my father-in-law, he wanted to take one of Naz's nephews for a train ride so Naz, the kids and I sent off him off KL Central last night. So that's the end of our family trip this time...

Oh, it's Pat's birthday...Happy Birthday Patty! Emmuahhh...

p/s photos will be up soon.

Enchanted...Indeed I was (# 4)

It was my day off yesterday and so I went out with Win and Munira to watch enchanted. It was more like our - girls day out to have super fun! I love that movie. It's really not like how I expected it to be - just for children. Anddd...I just realized how hot Patrick Dempsey is hehe. So my next show after Heroes? Of course GREY ANATOMY!

We had luch at Chilis and as usual, Munira had her favourite cheezy pizza...emmm...yum3

Simply Heroes

I'm sooo into Heroes. I can't believe I just said that. Well it's true. I'm glued to it like how I was with Kyle XY, actually having said that, I think I'm glued to Heroes more than Kyly XY - wow I can't believe I just said that either. My colleagues have been talking (and J has been ga-ga'ing over Milo) about Heroes for so long! but I was just not interested. I don't enjoy watching Superheroes (even in their tights hehe), Smallville, Star Trek or even Star Wars. Anyway, when J offered to lend me her first season of Heroes, I thought I would just give it try with the first episode.

My, my, my, there is just something about Heroes. It is just too interesting. I can't believe I am liking it so much. I'm already at the 13th episode and can't wait to finish Season 1!

Amazing actors!

2007 Long School Holiday Activity #3

We spent almost the entire day at Mega Kidz, Mid Valley Mega Mall, as requested by Miss Nazlin Munira. She once told us that if she is first in class, she wants to go to Mega Kidz again. So her wish was granted. As for the lil boy, tumpang sekaki la apalagi...hehehe.

Win bought Munira a Pixel Chix from Toy "R" Us and received a RM25 voucher. So to be fair, we used the voucher to redeem something for Muzafar. A choo-choo train!

Chilling out with Fab Colleagues

Sorry Abang for coming back so late last night. I didn't think that we were going to spend that much time eating dinner, having desserts and laughing our lungs out.

We had a really great time except that it was for a sad reason. John and Joal are going back to the Philippines, Joel is going back to UQ for his honours and Steph is leaving us for a greener pasture...(ya right, we'll see about that, but you're always welcomed back here you know hehe :p)

A bit about the place we hung out yesterday. Souled Out - Sri Hartamas. I had Chicken Meatballs Spaghetti which was very nice. Actually, all of us were satisfied with our orders. The ambience was also just perfect and comfy. We made a lot of noise though but surprisingly we did not get death stares from our neighbours.

So J, Jo, Joy, Joal, Joel, John, Pat, Steph and Win, thank you for such a wonderful night and specially for Joal, John, Joel and Steph, I am gonna miss you guys, really I will. Take care and forget us not. Keep in touch and all the best!

2007 Long School Holiday Activity #2

Right after work on Saturday, Naz and I took the kids to One Utama to watch the Bee Movie. While waiting for Naz to get the tickets, the kids went on a fluffy animal train which they (from the look on their faces) enjoyed only quite a bit. I guess, it was not thrilling enough for them. It was nothing like a roller coster (somehow, Munira is soooo into roller coasters).

Then after the movie we had something to eat at TGI Friday's to celebrate Munira's big achievement.

Before we left, Munira was given a budget of RM50 at the Popular Bookstore and so our lil princess splurged on story books and magazines (one of them was High School Musical - I still think she is a lil too young for this but I didn't find any unsuitable material in the magazine so I gave her my permission).

A really wonderful day out for the two of them!
