T.G.I.F. and More...

I am absolutely very thrilled that it is almost the end of the week. As a mother, weekends are always eagerly anticipated and important. That's when I get to rebond with my children after leaving them with Kak Jah (their babysitter) from Monday to Friday and have a maximum of only 3 hours a day with them.

When Munira was younger, Naz and I used to decide on how we could spend the weekend but nowadays, Munira gets to decide where to go or what to do. Is it totally fine with us as we mutually agreed that as long as they are happy, we would be happy too :).

Talking about making decisions, during the most recent school break, Munira was the one who had decided to go to Genting Highlands Theme Park. At first we had planned to spend a night there, but because Naz wanted to watch Akademi Fantasia (ok, ok it was actually me 😜), we went only for a day (March 17). Nevertherless, both Munira and Muzafar had a great time. We arrived home at about 8:15pm and everybody was so exhausted especially me and Naz. As parents, of course we needed to make all the preparations (I fried meehoon and made sandwiches and had to start as early as 6am!), but having said all that, the look on the children's faces escpecially when they were on the rides - aduhai, sungguh tidak ternilai harganya.

Munira's Pre-Primary Ballet Exam

March 26 tu Munira had her first ballet exam. I took the whole day off just in case. Throughout the whole time, I was more nervous than she was. Depa tak kesah langsung. When we got to the academy at 1:10pm on the exam day, Munira's teacher, Ms Yap greeted us and brought her into the prep room to tidy up her hair a lil bit more and to pin up a number on her baju. Lesson learnt, I really didn't have to bring her to the saloon the get her hair done. Ms Yap had everything there: from hair nets to hair spray. Darn I wasted RM15 (so the mahal to think of it).

Naz took half of the day off as he was having a headache. Initially, he was supposed to only send us to the academy, have lunch and then head back to work. After Munira's exam we dropped by at Mega Mall for a while. We thought that we would be the only family walking around aimlessly on a week day but boy we were wrong. Anyway, sekali sekala jalan on a week day can be really fun.

Back to Munira's exam, she said that everything was OK. She had greeted and introduced herself to Ms White, the certified examiner from Britain as she was taught by Ms Yap. She didn't miss any of the steps and she had thanked Ms White politely before she left the room. So I am confident that she will be able to pass this level and move one level up. Hooray for my lil angel!
