Nasi Dagang Best!

Both Naz and I spent the entire weekend with the kids. Didn't bring them anywhere except for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Mostly because Munira was busy doing revisions for her final exam which is starting today! All the best my darling.

On Sunday, Naz took us to Ulek Mayang (Taman Melati) for breakfast. The children had Nasi Lemak which they gave 'two thumbs up'. I didn't want to have any carbo at first but looking at how much Naz was enjoying his plate of Nasi Dagang, I just couldn't resist! I was telling myself, have the Nasi Dagang but try not to finish the whole plate and stop whenever possible. Can you guess? Of course I finished the whole darn plate. Licin selicin-licinnya! God that was one of the best Nasi Dagangs I have ever eaten. Not good for those on Atkins but once in 3 months wouldn't hurt your waistline rite ;)?

Sedapnya...sehingga menjilat sudu!

Muzafar's birthday (Part 1 & 2), Munira's birthday (Part 1)

Nazhan Muzafar celebrated his 6th birthday at his kindergarden on October 5. Here are some of the photos captured on that day :)

Naz was very dissapointed Muzafar had chosen Liverpool over MU hehe...

Surrounded by girls. Look, our boy is blushing here!

With his favourite teachers, Ms Prem and Cikgu Syima

Too bad Kakak was in school and couldn't be there :(

That night, we took them out for dinner. To celebrate Muzafar's 6th birthday and Munira's 10th birthday (October 6). Muhaya was sound asleep so we had to go without her. Both of them requested to go to Tony Roma's (Pavillion) and here are some of the shots taken there.

Wondering About the Wonders...

One thing I truly enjoy in life is traveling. I love visiting new places, trying new food, discovering different cultures and meeting new friends. I am one strong woman when it comes to walking during travels haha. Even when my feet ache like hell and my toes swell, I won't complain until of course, when I reach home.

Since young, I've always wondered about the 7 wonders of the world. It is a dream to some day visit some (if not all) of these places. I have recently learned that the 7 wonders of the world have been categorized into so many categories - new/modern, ancient, medieval, natural, underwater, industrial etc. Even countries have come out with their own 7 wonders. Some of the famous ones are like Great Wall of China, The Pyramid, Leaning Tower of Pisa, The Coliseum and of course, The Taj Mahal - one of the most beautiful buildings in the world and stands as a symbol of eternal love.

Anyway, Naz called me this morning and out of the blue, asked me whether I would be interested to visit the Taj Mahal. I was surprised at first but immediately agreed (with excitement!). I originally thought that this is going to be another family trip but it turned out that he is planning for us to go without the kids! Now, how romantic is that right? ;).

We still have not confirmed anything but just knowing that Naz is thinking about this makes me really happpyyyyyyyy...thank you Bang. Laps you :)

Hari Raya 2010

It's hard to believe that Aidilfitri actually came and gone. It's now already October and soon the kids will be having their long school holiday...yaay!

We had a fantastic Raya with Naz's family in Mantin and then with my family in Kampung Baru. The children of course were the ones who enjoyed themselves the most. New clothes and pockets full of 'duit raya' hehe.

Anyway, just to share. Our Mantin house was broken into a few months back and the person who did it, took every single thing. Dust bins, wall decorations and even took used bathroom brushes. Put it this way, when we went back to Mantin the first time after it happened, there were echoes (like in a new empty house)! I cried my heart out for more than two weeks thinking of the loss and thinking how Raya would be this year when my in-laws come down from Besut to an empty furniture-less house. But, Allah is really great as with His blessings, my heart slowly healed and I started to realize that what's more important to enjoy an occasion like Hari Raya, is NOT so much of the materials, food etc...it is the people you are celebrating the occasion with!

So I would say that despite not eating on a proper dining table and not sitting on a comfortable sofa on the first Raya morning to enjoy all the delicious Raya dishes (rendang, nasi empet, kuah kacang, masak lodeh) and cookies, my family and I had one of the best Rayas just enjoying what we still have...each other's company :). Thanks to both our extended families for their endless love and support.

As you can see, purple is our theme this year. This photo was taken at Naz's maternal grandma's house. Love the natural surroundings and the traditional architecture of the wooden house.
