Garra Rufa Fish Therapy

Have you ever heard or read about it? Well, Naz and I read it somewhere and saw it on television recently so while waiting for Munira to finish her piano class this morning, Naz and I decided to try it out (Jalan Telawi, next to AL-Rajhi Bank).

First, we were asked to wash our feet. Then we were seated on comfortable cushions around a pool full of tiny little fishes that looked like 'ikan bilis' to me. The minute we put our legs (almost to our knee) into the pool, all the fishes (they looked hungry) started swimming towards our legs, and started nibbling. It was so 'menggelikan' at first, I couldn't stop giggling and couldn't stop shaking my legs. The fishes moved away every time I moved but would always come back for more dead skin - eeyewww. After 5 minutes or so, I got used to it and actually started enjoying the tingling sensation and the attention from those cute little fishes. It felt like there was mild electric current going through my legs and definitely an unforgettable experience.

Would I ever want to do this again? The answer is Yes. Why not.

They claim that these tiny species of fish are from the Middle East. They massage your feet whilst releasing healing enzymes, and not only rejuvenates but refreshes your skin revealing new smoother glowing skin! Wahh!

Mother's Day 2008

This year has got to be one of the best, Mother's Day ever!!! We went to Chilli's KLCC on Sunday to celebrate a few things:-

1. Mother's Day of course...
2. My pregnancy...
3. Munira's Arabic Test results!

For her first monthly test, she got 49% for Arabic and I was kind of worried. So before her second test recently, Naz gave her a short tutorial and she did a lil bit more revision. I was there to just give her all the moral support she needed as I really couldn't help with anything more (very embarrassed I am). And so the results came out last week and she got 100%! We are very proud of her achievement. She has really shown that she can really do it if she wants to...Syukur Alhamdulillah...

Syukur Alhamdulillah...I am having another baby! I did the test this morning and was actually ready for another dissapointment when suddenly, the second line appeared! It was just so hard to believe at first. I had to stare at the test strip for a long time before before my brains could register that there were two lines!!! I just can't describe how happy and thankful I am. However, I am telling myself not to be too excited as I am still very early in the first trimester.

Anyway, this is what Baby Center.com is saying about the current stage of my pregnancy:

Deep in your uterus your embryo is growing at a furious pace. At this point, he's about the size of a sesame seed, and he looks more like a tiny tadpole than a human. He's now made up of three layers — the ectoderm, the mesoderm, and the endoderm — which will later form all of his organs and tissues.

The neural tube — from which your baby's brain, spinal cord, nerves, and backbone will sprout — is starting to develop in the top layer, called the ectoderm. This layer will also give rise to his skin, hair, nails, mammary and sweat glands, and tooth enamel.

His heart and circulatory system begin to form in the middle layer, or mesoderm. (This week, in fact, his tiny heart begins to divide into chambers and beat and pump blood.) The mesoderm will also form your baby's muscles, cartilage, bone, and subcutaneous (under skin) tissue.

The third layer, or endoderm, will house his lungs, intestines, and rudimentary urinary system, as well as his thyroid, liver, and pancreas. In the meantime, the primitive placenta and umbilical cord, which deliver nourishment and oxygen to your baby, are already on the job.

Labour's Day 2008

Happy belated Labour's Day fellow labourers hehe. How did I spend my labour's day this year? Well, first thing in the morning I was already busy in the kitchen preparing breakfast for the kiddos.

Then Naz got up and wanted to go out for breakfast so I accompanied him for Lontong and teh tarik. When we came back from breakfast, we suddenly had an 'aha! moment' and started rearranging our room and boy it was exhausting. Actually we've been procrastinating for so long odi so am glad that we finally did it. It was hard labour all right. With all the moving of heavy furniture and stuff hehe.

In the evening, we took the kids to KLCC to play at the park and for dinner. We arrived quite late though, I think about 10 minutes past 6 and had to leave the park about 7pm for dinner. Muzafar was reall unhappy and all the way walking back to KLCC, he kept pleading to go back to the playground. After only 50 minutes, he was already as red as a lobster and still insisted that he didn't get enough. Boys will always be boys hehe.

A night at Berjaya Hotel, Times Square...

Never in our lives would we imagine staying in Berjaya Hotel, Times Square. Thanks to Naz's sis-in-law, we had the opportunity, last Saturday (she got it free by the way). Not just any room, it was a suite! It was like a short weekend getaway. Aside from the very cramped space between two super single size beds and the wardrobe which is placed directly opposite the two beds (believe me, it's definitely not more than 50cm. The doors could not even be fully opened) everything else was perfect. Especially the breakfast buffet. They had everything we liked!

The kids had a marvellous time at the pool. The pool is located on the 14th floor and is HUGE! One of the biggest hotel pool I have seen so far. The exterior design and the scenery around the pool side are worth mentioning too. There are two fountains, a playground, a mini jacuzzi, a wading pool as well as man made waterfall! While Naz and the kids were in the pool, I had the most relaxing time with Sudoku! The perfect idea of a weekend getaway I would say!

That night (Saturday), I missed Akademi Fantasia 6's 6th concert but for a good cause. We celebrated my step mom's birthday at Melia Hotel which was just opposite of Berjaya. Talking about convenience hehe. It was Steamboat and Barbecue Buffet. Was just OK. Nothing to shout about...:)

I am in Love...

I am in love with Elizabeth Arden's new fragrance!

Naz and I went to watch Over Her Dead Body last night at GSC Midvalley during our monthly date hehe. When we're rushing to go for our Maghrib solat, I could smell something extremely nice. Then a guy approached us and introduced us to Elizabeth Arden's new fragrance called the Mediterranean Breeze. I was mesmerized instantly! The smell is so refreshing! I could so imagine myself covered in that smell, wow, I am absolutely going to get it one day...Mediterranean Breeze...my new love
Anyway, Over Her Dead Body was boringgg...The story line was quite interesting even though not logical. The way that it was told/directed, hemmm, could have been better. The cast could have been better too. Eva Longoria just failed to capture my attention and interest. Being with Naz however, made it all worthwhile. Just sitting there and enjoying his wonderful company couldn't have been better...:).



Oh, I had lunch with Win today (at La Risata) and we ordered the world's smelliest pizza, again. Yupp, we already had it twice earlier and we are definitely coming back for more. The pizza is made of several types of cheese but the one that made it extremely al-stinko is this cheese called gorgonzola (took me very long to remember the name but I then realize that I have to just have to remember, Gorgon (name of a raksasa in Ultraman!).

Gorgonzola Cheese. Man it looks nasty and it stinks too! but boy it tastes very good on a thin crust pizza!
