Food poisoning?

After the kids' activities last Sunday, we took them out for lunch at this place called Octopus Sushi & Thai at KL Festival City. Nazri had grilled fish (which we think was the culprit). Not that the fish was bad or anything (it wasn't his first time ordering that same fish anyway ), just that Naz's sensitive tummy somehow couldn't handle it on that particular day.

When we arrived home, Fiera, one of my bestest friends was already waiting to pick me up for tea. We were going to Carcosa Seri Negara to celebrate her belated birthday and to experience ourselves, the much publicized tea, fit for a queen. My other best friend, Azman was meeting us there. Overall, we had a great time catching up but would we go there again? Honestly, there was nothing extra ordinary so maybe not. Once in a life time experience is sufficient for me :).

I got home at about 5.30pm and Naz was lying in bed. I was told that he he had been throwing up since 3pm. Wanted to take him to the ER immediately but he still wanted to wait. So in the end, we only went at about 7pm when he couldn't bear any longer. At that time, he was already so weak and so nauseated that he could hardly walk. Took him to Al-Islam Specialist Hospital and he was instantly given medication through a drip. It was so, so hard to look at my man in that condition. Half of my body was weak as I could also feel his agony. The other half of me was forced to function so that I could be there for him. I needed to be strong for him. It hurts so much to see him hurting like that.

Anyway, he was sent home late that night and as I usual, I couldn't really sleep. I was worried, that he would  throw up again, or the air-cond was too cold, or he wanted water or he just needed me.  I took emergency leave yesterday just to make sure that he is all better. Being at home, while my big baby was recovering, I realized that I would love to be a stay-at-home mom one day. I would love to manage my home and my family myself and most important of all, to have all the time to become a better Muslim. Yupp, that's my ultimate goal in life. One day, insya Allah....

An evening @ Port Dickson

I was never able to upload photos directly from my mobile phone to my blog but now I can yeayyy. Thanks to Naz and iOS 7!

I can now blog and share photos in real time. How cool is that?! For a start, let me share share some photos which were just taken in the last hour or so...

Isi perut dulu...
Seriously, this is PD, not Bali!
Beach lovers...
Whose friendly baby is that?
Naz and I are going to Sabah next weekend to celebrate my birthday so thought we should let the kids have a lil fun at the beach before leaving them for two nights. Kira upah kena tinggal hehe...

Treasured Friendship

Went out with one of my bestest friends in the whole wide world, Win for a belated birthday lunch at Vinera Cucina, Bangsar Shopping Center yesterday. They serve delicious, authentic, Italian food. Win ordered this Fusillia something2 pasta which looked amazing. When we put in our order, we had requested for an extra serving of pasta for Win (knowing that their portion is small). We even stressed that we were willing to pay extra. However, we were disappointed to be informed later on that it was not possible :(...

I, on the other hand ordered a gorgonzola pizza with extra mushroom. The cheesy pizza was great. Just the way I like it. Not too much crust and not that well done so it was soft and chewy. Perfect!

Sorry, I didn't take a single photo as Win and I were just too busy exchanging stories. We have not had this sorta sharing session for sooo long. Glad that we finally did. Love you Win!

Another action packed weekend!!!

Took B out for a belated birthday lunch. We went to Lids and Finch, Jalan Dungun off Damansara Heights. The interior was simple but very pleasant - perfect for a quiet and peaceful break - away from the hustle and bustle of our office. B ordered a plate of Pesto with grilled chicken and I ordered Aglio Olio spaghetti with beef bacon bits. To end our meal, we decided to share a piece of Chocolate Mud Cake which was not bad (not great cause it was not muddy enough for a choc lover like me moohaha!).

Rating: 3.5/5
B's lunch - Pesto with chicken
What I had - Aglio Olio

That night, in the spirit of a very much anticipated long weekend, Naz and I took the kids to AEON AU2 for some fun. Munira and Muzafar were excited to try out archery and Muhaya was let loose in kidzooona. They had KFC for dinner and look, sempat lagi berposing before we left. We got cold stares from the girl who was mopping the floor cause it was slightly past 10pm. Sorry hehe...
I, AM, NOT! going anywhere near there!
Happy baby!
Only Muzafar has the right expression here keh3...
While Naz was at work on Saturday, my dad and I followed my sister to her apartment in Seri Putra. Just to check on the renovation progress.
Her balcony
Her wet kitchen
Our dessert  (haha sempat lagi) - Secret Recipe's new Turkish Indulgence. Rating: 4/5

When Naz got home from work, he sent Munira to her friend's sister's wedding and brought the other two kids to Citrus Hotel where his siblings were staying for the night. More for a little fun in the swimming pool for the little ones.
Muhaya and her cousins - the 2009 babies...
As soon as I got back from Seri Putra, I was busy in the kitchen preparing dinner for Naz's family. Unfortunately, didn't take any photo of what I cooked.
Naz's large family...

As for Sunday...it started out with Naz and I going for a walk/light jog at Lake Titiwangsa very early in the morning. Then, we were off to send Muzafar for his guitar lesson and Muhaya for her ballet class. After that, we went to my cousin's open house in Setiawangsa. After the open house, we once again went to Titiwangsa Lake. This time for the playground.
While waiting for Muhaya, I decided to do a lil stitching. The above is the 'before photo' of my baju kurung sleeve
Here is the 'after photo'. Whaddaya think? I personally think it now looks classier

My cousin's open house. Kambing golek tuuu...

Minah posing hehe...
Waiting for their aiskrim potong/goyang Milo :)
On Malaysia Day (public holiday hoorayyy), we had a picnic at Lake Titiwangsa (yes again) while the kids were riding their bicycles. Naz and I took turns to walk around the lake.
Gosh, I look so big here...Uwaaa!!!!!
The rest of our day was spent at home. Entertaining my auntie who came down from Kuantan and I was also busy with housework, housework and more housework hehe. Overall, it was a fantastic 3 day weekend! I wish for moreeee...

Yeaayyy to a long weekend!

Muzafar is at school today. His wound is still visible but healing well. Syukur pada Allah and thanks to the doctor for prescribing the right medication.

A student, A.N. came by to the office the day before yesterday and brought this for me, for the admin unit, for the two bosses. I have to say, these are the best pineapple tarts I have tasted in years. He should seriously consider marketing this commercially. Delicious!

Awesome Pawsome Tarts!
One of the projects I have been putting on hold for the past 3 years is framing the kids' baby photos. Last month, I was clearing my drawers and I found the frame. I was thinking to myself, now or never. So here it is, finally done. Paid RM15 to get Munira and Muzafar's photos scanned, enlarged and printed but all worth it. My babies are sooo cute!

Munira, Muzafar and Muhaya...awww my three 'mu'sketeers

I have two things to share today...

We live in a double storey house. My dad and his wife used to live upstairs and my family, downstairs. When my father fell ill about this time last year, we had to swop levels. Now, we have moved upstairs for exactly one year. Initially, the condition was quite bad as it has never been renovated for the past 38 years (my age). We are now sloooowlyy tyring to make it more comfortable and as pretty as possible. We have started by renovating the two WCs and have started buying new furniture. Today, I would like to share with you my favourite corner in our master bedroom. This is Naz's charging station as well as his cheque writing table. Bought this mahagony console table (with silver knobs) for RM260 in Cheras. Love it! Will upload a brighter photo when I can.

Second, I have been feeling very heavy and unhealthy for the past few days. When I weighed myself, I have gained over 3kgs during this hari raya period. I have to do something about this. Raya is over, my knees are giving out, my clothes are tighter and I feel horrible! Uwaaaaaa....Should I disclose my weight here? Oh wth, I am 72.5kg!!! Ok, need to start exercising. Have to. No choice. Have to seriously deal with my lack of determination and control!

My Injury-Prone Hero...

Muzafar has been getting injuries all over his body for the past 9 years of his life. Only recently he had a deep cut near his ankle which required four stitches. Last night, we were at the emergency unit again. This time, he has this huge awful looking wound on the left side of his cheek, the size of a 50 sen coin.

It started last week when he had a swelling the size of a mosquito bite with a dot of blood on his face. He told me that a friend accidentally scratched him while playing. So I thought whatever that was will be gone in 2-3 days. Who would think that it will grow to be one of the gross-est thing I have ever seen. I am attaching a photo here. WARNING: graphic content - the following image may be disturbing to some viewers and may result in loss of appetite. Viewers discretion is strongly advised hehe.

I cringe everytime I look at this!

We took him to the Al-Islam Specialist Hospital which is the opposite of Kampung Baru Mosque. We reached there at about 8.00pm after Maghrib. There was only one doctor on duty so we had to wait for almost or probably slightly more than an hour. But all is good. The doctor recognized it as a bacterial infection (he actually used a scientific name which I really cannot remember and repeat). Muzafar is now on antibiotics, syrup to help ease the itchiness and some gel to be applied directly to this nasty wound. Good thing he doesn't have to go school until Thursday because of UPSR.

Talking about UPSR, Naz and I can still remember how nerve wrecking it was for us when Munira sat for her UPSR last year. We were even more nervous when the results were coming out. Sadly, I way away for work on the day she received her results - straight As. We are heaps proud! Good job Munira, but please remember that this is only the beginning. Your journey has just started. Ibu and ayah, are wishing nothing but the best for you and adik-adik. Amin, amin ya rabbal alamin...
